Summary

Chapter 5 completes the first arc of the story, and can be read as 'complete' in a sense.

Reggie is nine years old (almost ten) when he discovers a young boy shivering and caked in blood in one of the fields that back onto the quiet village of Evesham. The two of them never exchange names, but the mysterious boy presses a finely decorated pocket watch into Reggie's hands when they part ways.
Throughout the years the two will cross paths many times before they finally are able to introduce themselves properly.
Alternatively, the universe is doing its best to get these two together, and they're both too pig-headed to notice.
