“No…no, no, no, no!” Azul begged in vain, his legs unwinding to the eight tentacles he so desperately tried to hide from everyone.
Curling in on himself, Azul wiped at the thick tears rolling down his cheeks.
A hand began stroking his hair, making Azul sniffle. “…Jade?”
Azul couldn’t find it in his exhausted body to look up though, choosing to close his eyes and snuggle into whoever was holding him.
The continued motion of nails combing through his hair reminded Azul faintly of his mother and the whispers soon faded into silence, his tentacles uncurling from his defensive ball and felt some curl around the figure.
~~~~~Eyes as blue as the sky blinked open, finding the ceiling.
