When Tommy opened his eyes he was met with a blinding light, something that was rare. Phil barely let any light in since younger avian eyes were sensitive to light, meaning Tommy’s eyes were sensitive. He hisses at the light as he pulls the blanket that covered him up over his head.

Summary
If Wilbur knew how much trouble it was to take care of a human, he would have told Tommy to leave the first time he saw the younger. He loves the little human and sees him as a brother, but Tommy was something. Something he couldn’t describe.
The little human was sneaky, confusing, and mysterious. Something he wasn’t used to. It was frustrating. Humans were frustrating, and some days he just wished that he would wake up and Tommy would be, well, not confusing. He wishes some days Tommy would just be a species from space, maybe even his own, a phantom.
