Harry had spent many an hour trying to figure out what best to get his house-mates for Christmas. For Ron and Mione it had been easier. They were Gryffindors. He could be… honest and even affectionate with his presents. Not so much with his house-mates. They were Slytherins. And any gift from a Slytherin to a Slytherin had to contain at least a smidgeon of mischief – lest the giver be ascribed feelings. Of the fond kind. Irgh.
And Draco especially, remained a special case. Because Harry, and Dementors would have to pry that secret from his cold and dead husk of a body, wanted to give him something that would make him smile that private, princely smile of his. The smile that touched his eyes and made them shine. No one had to know. He would attach a teeny tiny hex. For the sake of it.
Of course, he had had absolutely no idea what to get him.
In the end, he might have overdone it a little...
