She grins, a little too excited about something that, if she’s telling the truth, means that thousands of people are probably injured, and even more dead.
“What? What does this have to do with-
“That’s where I found him. He was stumbling around outside, barely conscious. I think he was caught in the tsunami. So me, seeing an opportunity, I did what needed to be done.”
He shakes his head, still not understanding. It’s not that he’s thrilled about his and Christopher’s situation right now, but, what did she need this guy for when, “But you already have me.”
“I know.” She says with a roll of her eyes, as if he’s being particularly dense. “But I got him for you, silly. Not me. Aren’t you happy?”

"G-give me one second, sorry," Buck nervously chuckles as he looks for his wallet. It's not like he has much cash, as he paid for a lot of things for Abby during their trip. And on top of that, he has only one credit card for emergencies, and he can't find it. Or his damn wallet.
"Is there a problem, sir?" the woman asks, tilting her head.
"No! No, I just--" Buck always puts his wallet in his backpack. Easier to grab. It's always been in one spot, no matter what, and it's been like that for years. His shoulders drop. "I think my girlfriend took off with my wallet and passport," he says. He hears someone clear their throat behind him. "Oh, sorry. I'm gonna just go figure out my--you don't happen to have tap to pay here, do you?"
"No, sorry, sir. We're in the process of updating our systems."
Great.
"Thanks."
So now, Buck is broke, broken-hearted, and trapped.

Buck just stares at him, still not saying anything. He can’t remember when he last took a breath but oxygen was the least on his priority list when Eddie and Chris are here right now.
“Hi, Buck,” Eddie echoes the greeting pulling Buck’s stare on himself. A soft smile and something so, so gentle lights up his eyes.
“I think we broke him, dad,” Chris snickers, nudging Eddie with his elbow who just hums in agreement.
“I – uhm, I didn’t uhm – w-what are you guys doing here?” He stammers, his eyes still wide with disbelief as he takes a much needed breath.
“Heard you were in desperate need of some Christmas decorations.” Eddie crosses his arms as he raises his eyebrow, the look in his eyes far too knowing for Buck’s liking. Man, Buck has forgotten how well Eddie can read him when he’s not just three pixels on a facetime call.
Or, Eddie and Chris surprise Buck for Christmas and give him everything he's ever wanted in the span of seven days.
