"Sod off," Sirius mumbled, trying to shake off his daze.
The truth was, the reason for his distraction was deeply personal: the memory of walking in on Remus touching himself in the showers six weeks earlier still lingered persistently in his thoughts. The encounter had left Sirius in a state of confusion and bewilderment. He found himself going back to the incident at the most awkward times. To his mortification, he had also developed a bewildering fixation on Remus.
