    Boring. That was the word Ilya had called him so many times that it had just become innocuous, just another playful word to tease him with. It wasn’t even something that was just limited to Ilya, although he definitely had said it the most. He’d heard it from most of the guys from Montreal, Hayden had definitely said it too. Boring wasn’t an insult. It was a descriptor.

    However, hearing the word boring in the Centaurs locker-room at the end of the first week made him go quiet as he grabbed his bag. It hadn’t even been directed at him, it had been directed at Ilya. Maybe that had been why it felt so foreign.
