Without thinking, Maggie’s hand moves, fingers trembling as they find Negan’s wrist, instinctively seeking the steady beat beneath his skin. Her cold fingers press gently, tapping the rhythm of his pulse as her breathing catches and falters. Slowly, she forces herself to match his breath, to find calm in the slow, steady rise and fall. She doesn’t even realize it, but her body shifts, sinking into the couch, and Negan moves with her, his weight shifting so she doesn’t lose her grip.

Her child, whom she is going to do everything in her power to protect. To raise happily and without any worries.
And in order to do that, she needs to protect the rest of her family. The Avengers. Yelena. There are too many unknown variables to consider. Ross. UN. Being on the run from the government. Taking care of the remaining Red Room facilities. Finding Rose.
They have to be careful. There's too much at risk.

She coughs, blood splattering down her lips, before noticing a faint buzz coming from the ground. A light flashes.
Her phone.
Beth wheezes, weakly lifting her head off the ground. If she could reach her phone, she could call someone for help. But they still won’t get there in time. She is about an hour away from the nearest hospital. About an hour away from the nearest town.
No one will get here in time.

This is a general fiction AU story for both GoT and ASOIAF (I borrow elements from each) that begins with familiar events in Yunkai and then diverges into a distinct narrative with new heroes, villains, love interests, and locations mixed in with canon characters, familiar settings, and re-imagined story beats. Politics, war strategies, shifting allegiances, and lore play a major part.
The story is not told exclusively from Daenerys's POV, but she is the main POV character. The entire work revolves around her life, including her struggles to defeat enemies both magical and mundane, overcome tragedy, go on a journey of self-exploration, and perhaps find love and a happy ending, even if the path is long, tortuous, and uncertain.
