Glenn stared at the makeup brush in his hands. It was soft—he dragged it along his palm, his fingers, the back of his hand, quietly noting the way the sensation changed as he brushed over callouses from years of guitar playing. It felt strange, the contrast between gentle and rough, between feminine and masculine.
But it also felt familiar. It felt right.

Summary
Stede had dreamt of adventure his entire life. Of discovering new places, new species of plants, even new people. As a child, he would make up stories about adventure— stories of swashbuckling pirates, daring explorers, and royalty donned in the most dashing of clothes.
Now, Stede figures that perhaps the time has come for him to go on a little adventure of his own.
(Stede is a botanist who goes on a research trip to a small town, only to find himself enthralled by the voice on the local radio.)

Summary
It didn’t happen often, but some nights Ed woke up and just… couldn’t fall back asleep. In the past he’d tried to find rhyme or reason for it— sometimes it was due to stress, though he didn’t like to admit it. Other times his bad knee was bothering him or he’d gotten a particularly painful stabbing, but mostly it didn’t seem to happen for any reason at all. Sometimes his thoughts just started piling up in his head, one after the other, and he couldn’t shut them off. It fucking sucked, to put it simply.
(Ed can't sleep and decides to get a breath of fresh air. So does Stede. Shenanigans ensue.)
