It had been years since they disbanded—the Superheros of the “Golden Age”. The 1940s had come and went, the ‘50s were starting to bore him, the 60’s were around the corner. Gamma Jack was no longer the brash, cocky man of 25 that his co-workers in the super business knew him as.
It didn't make him any more tolerating, though. He was angry rather frequently with how his life was in his 30s.
He had a good job—he’s a radiobiologist, but at the moment the best work he could get was that of a professor. Turns out a lot of his degree was something governments wanted and he wasn't particularly a government man.
He had a good family—his mother visited every two months for a week.
Hell, he even had a good life when it came to relationships! It wasn't hard for him to land a date or a hookup.
