“Excuse me!” Kate called out, letting Newton run forward. “Sorry, excuse me!”
The man turned around in surprise, looking down the street after them. “Yes? Are you…? Being chased?”
Kate ignored how the gravel of his seemed to echo through her. “We aren’t being chased. You are.”
He looked behind him and then down at Newton who was sniffing his immaculately polished shoe. “Who’s doing the chasing? Hello, doggy.”
There was something sort of sweet about that but Kate ignored that as well. “Do you like women?”
His eyes flashed to hers and a slow smile spread across his face. Making him seem even more handsome. “Oh, I love women.”
“And your name is?”
“Anthony, lovely to meet you.”
Kate nudged Sophie in front of her. “This is Sophie and we’re doing spontaneous blind dates to find the love of her life.”
Anthony’s eyes flashed to Sophie before they landed back on Kate. “No offence to Sophie, she seems lovely but I think I’d rather go on a blind date with you.”OR
