"I promise it will hurt less if you give in, little Hero." The woman said as she approached with the glittering chain in her delicate hands. "You won't have to grieve anymore."
Link wasn't sure what she meant, but it didn't sound that bad. The goddess had only ever used him for his talents, this would be no different, and if they were telling the truth… he wouldn't have to care so much. He wanted to forget.
The chain was fastened around his neck, and Link closed his eyes as chanting filled the air around him. He was tired.

Summary
Wind is no stranger to monsters.
Two adventures taught him more than any boy ought to know about them. About the way they fight, the way they think. About what it takes to make a monster.
This third adventure wants to test that. All across time there are monsters that are worse than they ought to be. Stronger. Smarter. Faster. Harder and harder to kill.
Still, Wind is no stranger to monsters. Which is why when a ninth Link joins the Chain, he knows that there is something… wrong.
