    Time is a relative thing. Was seven years a long time? To spend with the love of your life, it was not near enough and Vader didn't even get half of that. To spend them serving an Empire and master you hated though was far too much, yet he had been forced to do so. Was four a better length of time? For a young boy to be a slave, it was even worse and little Luke Skywalker had endured so much in that seemingly insignificant amount of time.
    On the day that Vader learns his son lives, and has lived under the control of Jabba the Hutt at that, both of these situations change. The fate of the galaxy changes with them.

    After a failed Order 66, Obi-Wan took Anakin into exile on Stewjon. Nearly a year into their wandering, Anakin has begun to have episodes of debilitating pain. Concerned for his safety and determined to find him some relief, Obi-Wan brings him to the big city to search for medicine. But, when a mysterious attack leads to the death of a woman and Anakin is an unfortunate witness, they might end up caught in a conflict much bigger than they want to be involved with.

    All while this is happening, Anakin has been changing. Obi-Wan isn't sure if this is for the better, or for the worse- what is the boy thinking when he refuses to speak? Is it hatred or guilt he feels? Can Obi-Wan see past his own hurt into the true nature of the boy when, at night, he dreams of the Sith and the massacre of the Jedi?

    This is a sequel! Go read the first one first :)

    The Jedi are telepaths. It's normal for them to make long-lasting mental bonds with friends and family, but Obi-Wan has always been extra sensitive. During their fight on Mustafar, when Anakin rips out their bond, thick as an artery and a decade strong- it's too much. That, on top of the deaths of all the Jedi on the heels of Order 66, causes Obi-Wan to begin to lose his memories, and, eventually, his life.

    After delivering Luke to Owen and Beru, Obi-Wan is ready to see his family again. He doesn't mind dying, and has made his peace with it. But Beru offers him a place to stay, until the end comes- in her words, no one should die alone.

    This was written as a precursor to a time-travel fic, so he doesn't actually die. But it's essentially a death fic. Proceed with caution.

    Sense had been coming to Darth Vader for quite a long time...years, in fact. But, trapped in a cumbersome life-support suit without a friend in the world, under the thumb of the most powerful man in the galaxy- Vader saw no way out of his situation. He'd made his bed, so he must lie in it, however awful of a bed it was.
    Or so he'd thought. Several years into his own personal hell, he'd woken up one day and realized that the children who Sidious had taken from the Jedi temple- taken and kept alive as the only Force-sensitives left- were dying. Pushed to their limits, they'd begun to break under the pressure of becoming Inquisitors. Now, due to Sidious's abuse, there were only three of them left.

    Vader did the only thing he could do. Taking the children with him, he fled the Empire. He went back to his old Master, a man he knew to be a doctor and a healer- the best healer left in the galaxy, perhaps. He planned to bargain with his own life, asking the Jedi Healer to save the dying children in exchange.
    He went back to Obi-Wan Kenobi.
