“You mean to say you've never made a snowman in your entire life?”
Nova winced, scratching her chin. Aemeath was looking at her with those big beady eyes, the kind that gets you to confess everything immediately. What was she supposed to say? She never had the time to learn to make one? That other stuff kept her busy? The books she bought never covered the subject!
Currently the pair were on the sofa, with Aemeath resting her head on her lap as she read a kids book about two children playing around in the snow, making snow angels, starting snowball fights, and of course, building snowmen. Nova also had a book in her hand, looking through the various recipes and trying to decide what to make for dinner. Before their conversation spiraled to snow people she had decided on either tomato soup or vegetable wraps and some mint related dipping sauce. On these days she was happy they had a good food supply and can easily get some extra stuff if needed. The batteries on the thermostat do need changing though…
Ah, the question! What was she supposed to say?

That was another reason he came to the garden. He stopped by at their home to announce his arrival only to be met by absolute silence. The lights were turned off and the curtains were drawn. Phainon had torn through the house trying to find his boyfriend to no avail. He went to the detachment to ask Krateros if he had seen him anywhere. To his horror, the elder shook his head and said he hadn't seen him the whole day.
So he flew over the market as he made his way to the garden looking for his king, worry gnawing at his chest. He couldn't ask Aglaea if her threads picked up on him leaving the city. Could he have left the city? No, he would have left a note. Did something bad happen? The man was a fine warrior, besting him on many occasions. Phainon trusted his combat prowess. But he hadn't picked up his calls or reposted to his texts.
Hence why he was here and praying his two babies saw him somewhere near the place.
Or Phainon find Mydei dozing off at the Garden of Life and gets all mushy. What else didya expect?

“Is it ready?”
“Almost,” March said, stretching her hand out and summoning various crystal shards. The floor lit up in a soft purple glow, the outline resembling the symbol of Fuli. The Remembrance. Opposite to her, Caelus had out his quill, poised to write something. Herta was clutching her key tightly, her fourth mirror floating beside her.
Phainon nodded, steeling his resolve. The other Heirs were standing at the sidelines, watching with fascination as the light grew brighter and brighter. This was it, he told himself. This was the day he was waiting for for so long.
The Dome of the Stars seemed to glow brighter than ever, like they knew what was going to happen right now. They were glittering in the colors of her, in those beautiful shades of purple, pink, teal, blue and baby yellow.
The one who helped bring forth the true dawn, yet never got a chance to witness it herself. The daughter of Aedes Elysiae. The original bearer of the Coreflame of Time. Khaslana and Phainon’s best friend.
It was time to bring her back.

“Well then, shall we?” asked Anaxa, grabbing the bag and standing up. “We better not keep my student and your adopted son waiting. I’m pretty sure the doofus is bouncing anxiously in his seat wondering what’s taking us so long.”
“That sounds just like something he’d do,” Aglaea muttered, taking his hand. Maybe she should have called him to let him know they had been delayed, or at least should have asked Cyrene to pass on a message to her brother. Oh well, it was too late for that now.
And with this, their trip had officially started. Surely after this nothing could go wrong…
Right?
Or, the Chrysos Heirs are all going on a trip around Amphoreus! Except...why are they seeing themselves die over and over again? And moreover, why did the legends of Amphoreus look suspiciously like them?

Era Nova- the real Era Nova was finally upon Amphoreus. No longer was the Black Tide a looming threat over everyone's heads, the Chrysos Heirs were once again ruling over Okhema, but this time with a bit more leniency. Their flaws no longer hold them back, and they can do the things they want to do.
Now, how about we redirect our attention to a certain prince of Castrum Kremnos and a country boy turned Emanator and see how they're holding up, shall we?

It- it was the same scent. The same thing he’d followed into the city, searching, starving. Phainon stared, wide-eyed, at the small droplets of shining red blood beading on the wound. The scent, metallic and enticing, drifted towards him as he stood utterly frozen.
“I’m alright, son. Just a little scratch, no need to worry.” The man smiled. Phainon could barely hear him over the buzzing in his ears.
Phainon finds himself struggling as a freshly-turned vampire, having no idea what he is or what he's craving. He stumbles his way into Okhema, searching for shelter. Instead, he's confronted with some harsh truths about himself, and the monster he believes he's become.
This is the story of how Phainon became corrupted by the Black Tide, how he met Aglaea and Hyacine, and how he settled down into Okhema.
(prequel fic for my black tide vampire!phainon au, can be read without any knowledge of the rest of the series ;])

"Of all the indignity..." Krateros shook his head, much like a disapproving elder who had witnessed a hilarious, blasphemous scene. "And you still deem him a worthy equal—nay, a suitor, Mydeimos?"
What a strange and weighted question. "And what if I do?"
There is no word for 'love' in the Kremnoan language, but there are alternatives.
