Summary
The townsfolk in Forgotten Valley mostly stuck to themselves, but occasionally a couple of neighbors may catch up by the well or comment on the weather in passing. Sometimes discussions would stray from casual exchanges and into the business of the next neighbor - politely, of course. Only the kindest of anecdotes were shared and the sincerest of concerns expressed. Besides, life in the valley has been stagnant for years so everyone knows everyone enough not to pry.
Except for Polly, the new neighbor. Not Takakura’s secret young wife. Not his granddaughter either. A city-girl. Something about inheriting her father’s share of the farm. She’s not just visiting to sell either, she actually wants to farm the land.
