Summary
Waylon Park and his fiancee, Lisa, made an enemy of the wrong tailor. After a random accident wipes Waylon's memory clean, Eddie sees his opportunity to get revenge, and some free labor, out of the man who attempted to ruin his business. But the man he tricks resembles the man from his shop in face only, and Eddie begins to question his impulsive decision. (Frank has the munchies, Dennis seems to live multiple lives, and Eddie relies on outdated television to know how to treat a spouse because he has no other references for a healthy relationship.)

Summary
As a child Waylon Park had been taught the two basic fear responses; fight or flight.
In Mount Massive he'd used flight, running whenever someone came for him, hiding whenever he could. He didn't know about the third response - fawning. To be meek and submissive, doing what the predator wanted in an effort to keep safe.
Why would he? The closest Waylon had ever been to a predator - a true predator - was safely observed though glass or bars.
Not lost in its very lair.

Summary
“We can’t stay here forever.”
That's what Eddie had said, or what Waylon had assumed - had hoped - was an hallucination brought on by the events at Mount Massive Asylum for the Criminally Insane.
He'd seen Eddie die; had seen the lights dim in his pale, pale eyes and watched the blood drain from his body.
It was funny, but back there, in the crumbling Victorian halls of Mount Massive, ghosts had been the very furthest from Waylon’s mind. But here, in this broken shell of a house, with the wind howling outside and the dying embers casting a ghostly glow over the room, he found he could believe it.
But then, if Eddie was an hallucination, a ghost, then who had brought him out here?

The comforting weight of his hands have transmuted into something unsettlingly possessive. His fingers dig in, warning of a fresh bloom of bruises that Viktor will later touch in remembrance—remembrance of how the sun can shine upon life as easily as it flares out to destroy.
“I’m doing this for us,” Jayce pleads. “For our dream!”
Viktor's and Jayce's dream diverges, but their paths do not even if Viktor would hope otherwise.

“What's his name again…”
“Viktor,” Dmitri says readily. The tone of his voice betrays a familiarity that Jayce hadn’t heard before. No one ever interests Dmitri. Jayce grits his teeth, his blood pulsing. He doesn't need to listen to this crap. Shoving the papers into his bag, he prepares to leave before they notice him on the other side of the aisle.
“Viktor! That's the one! Professor Heimerdinger's assistant,” Oretz says. "Nice upgrade I guess. Trading administrative work for the lab.”
Dmitri scoffs a bitter laugh. “Well, it's not surprising. He's fucked half of the Academy.”
Now that stops Jayce in his tracks.
With Progress Day looming around the corner and news of Hextech’s triumphs, vicious gossip surfaces in the Academy about Viktor’s unsavory nightly activities. Jayce, of course, doesn't believe a single word. That is, not until his rival Dmitri brags about having a little sample.
Tortured by thoughts of Viktor sleeping around, Jayce’s suspicions grow until the truth becomes undeniable and his appetite grows sharp teeth. Jayce won’t settle for just a taste.

She was staring at him; in fact, with a stunned expression etched on her face. They both ignored the other man’s complaints, taken aback.
“You know.” She whispered. Even though it wasn’t a question, she couldn’t hide the surprise in her tone.

Summary
In a game that’s considered an escape from reality for Jayce, he soon discovers there are more parallels in the fantasy to his own life than he first thought. Viktor's character, The Herald, is more human than he thought, and has begun making those human feelings known to Jayce- er, The Defender.
Viktor assures him that in-game flirting with friends is part of the fun of D&D, but with a hoard of mind-controlled robots to defeat, and his master’s thesis due soon, the lines have begun to blur for Jayce.
Maybe his feelings- or, his character’s feelings, of course- for Viktor are the least of his problems.

Viktor sat down in the chair and was reaching for the table lamp to light it when he heard a sudden noise, loud in the quiet of the room - the creaking of leather. He instantly stopped moving and held his breath, terror seizing his heart. He could hear the rapid beating of his heart in his ears, but over that, the faint heavy breathing of another person.
He was not alone!
Viktor slowly, carefully, turned his head towards the noise and focused on a deep shadow to his left. For a long, breathless moment, he saw nothing, then the faint glitter of eyes in the darkness.Feral Jayce somehow ends up in the season 1 timeline. Viktor doesn't have a good time with this - until he does...
