Mos Espa still buzzed with the news. Jango was less interested learning that a human child had won the Boonta Eve Classic than he was in the rumour that the persons who'd taken the child away afterwards were jetiise. In a ship that hinted the Trade Federation blockade over Naboo was breakable.
The child's mother was a local, a slave mechanic. He'd take a look at her after the trip to Gardulla's, see what she knew, and then leave this sandy hell-hole of a planet.

Nine year old Anakin recognizes Palpatine at Qui-Gon's funeral, having seen him at the slave markets on Tatooine and witnessed him using Force lightning. He of course relays this information to Obi-Wan, who, after having a panic attack, comes up with a plan that involves Padme, copious amounts of lying, several failed poisoning attempts (by Palpatine), cringeworthy codenames, a ridiculous sign language made up to humor his drama queen padawan, a secret wedding, at least one faked death, and the performance of a lifetime come Revenge of the Sith.

This is the story of a wildly Force sensitive Anakin who wants nothing to do with the Jedi and who is immediately assumed to be a Sith. This is the story of a slavery hating Padme who has to choose between the Republic and what's right. This is the story of a conflicted Obi-Wan who comes head to head with the Jedi Order's flaws and mistakes. This is the story of a living Qui-Gon Jinn who has to come to grips with his part in all that has gone wrong.
This is the story of how the Clone Wars end.
