    The USJ attack is awful and traumatic, and it goes worse than anyone could have predicted.

    But then it happens again, and again, and again, with Izuku and Aizawa caught right in the bloody, cycling centre of it.

    Regardless, he needs to think now. Because yesterday was a carbon copy of the day before, excluding a few little conversation changes like people asking if he was okay and then things that changed because of his own actions, but Aizawa-sensei still died and then he threw himself in front of Asui and died, and then everything went black and he woke up to his All Might alarm again and-

     

    And Izuku doesn't know what to do.

    They both move the few inches to squeeze their hands together then, feeling the bloodstains that aren't there right now, but, more than that, feeling the body heat-warmth and knowing that the other is alive, present, with them. Right now, for a few moments, they're okay.

    Summary

    But they're not the same as the reality that they've returned to, and with the events of a single day changed for only two people, a drop falls into the ink of their world, and the story rewrites itself from there.

    Shouta sighed once more, stepping toward Hizashi and pulling his hand from his mouth. “What’s this really about, Zashi? You wouldn’t be this anxious over a simple field trip if there wasn’t something else going on in your head.” Shouta, ever the observant man, asked his husband.

    “I don’t know, Sho,” Hizashi huffed, eyes moving from a random spot on the counter next to him to Shouta’s face, meeting his eyes with an unsteady look, “I just have a weird feeling, y’know? I can’t explain it.” He spoke with a sigh.

    Izuku had always known he wanted to be a great hero, just like Allmight, and just like his dad and papa. If only he had more time.
