Summary
When Leo arrived at his stasis, he was proven right. It being found was no accident, and his paranoia was more than justified. The void trap could only be the work of Spoke.
But when Leo finally realized what the other pearl meant, he laughed. Oh, Spoke had made things too easy. All Leo had to do was make a few adjustments to the void trap, and Spoke's life would be in his hands.
There was so much he'd be able to do with Spoke gone. He could build up his team, bring it back to how BAT was in the glory days. He and his teammates-
He didn't have any teammates anymore.
What was even waiting for him after Spoke's death?
What did he even have left to live for?
He knew he had to kill Spoke. He refused to die until Spoke was dead. But was there even any point of living, after that?---
Leo checks his stasis and finds the void trap Spoke planned to drop him into, with Spoke's pearl next to his own. He knows he needs Spoke dead, but there's nothing left for him after that. He sets a trap to kill them both.

Wemmbu laughs again, grating and diminishing. “No,” he scoffs. “‘His Majesty’ declared we are not to kill any prisoners.”
Lettuce frowns, glancing up and back at Wemmbu over his shoulder. “Then why…?”
“He didn't say not to torture you,” Wemmbu explains. “I mean, he implied it really strongly, but, you know.”
Lettuce blinks. “... Oh.”
“Yeah,” Weembu drawls, grinning as he drops a wooden pickaxe at Lettuce's feet. “Find diamond,” he commands. And then, sarcastically, “Good luck!”
OR: Lettuce gets what he deserves, Wemmbu gets his revenge, and neither of them feel any better.

Lettuce will get his Lawdog, no matter what. Leo just happens to be the unfortunate soul who the Law settles on when they can't get their hands on Wemmbu, Flame or even Spoke.
No one will miss him as he rots, hidden away from the server, losing himself as a person.
