She's pouting, all petulant like a child, and Jesus Christ, sometimes Six looks at Claire in all of her eleven-year-old-glory, and he can't help but think back to when he was her age; already beaten down and broken in by more than his father's fists and the U.S. prison system. And then, Six thinks about how he can keep her away from all of that. How he'd go to the ends of the earth just to make sure that she never, ever, has to know that kind of hurt or violence.
His fists tighten just thinkin' about it. Six takes a deep breath. Sweat beads down his face and no amount of fiddling with the fan is gonna make the air turn cold.
"Alright," He says, capturing her attention. "Let's go get ice cream."

Clark Kent is handsome in that unassuming, boy-next-door kind of way. Clean-cut and wholesome. Almost impossibly sincere. His skin carries the sun in it. And that golden warmth is hard to come by in Gotham, where the skies are always gray, where safety often means staying inside, and where crooked electric companies syphon energy away from those that need it the most.
He is polite to a fault. Kind-hearted without calculation. Sweet in a way that’s entirely, almost disarmingly, genuine.

In which Rose and Shane drink a little too much wine on their girls' night, and Shane winds up with a face full of makeup. It would be a shame if Ilya came home unexpectedly and caught him looking like this!
