It’s funny, really. Jimin is too kind. Too kind when she decided to stay with Minjeong, the girl she met at university’s cafeteria. When she decided to still stay with Minjeong, the girl bathed in blood with a knife still red, and washed all the blood off her. Minjeong remembers her eyes, full of concern, running soap all over Minjeong’s small body. The fluffy towel that smells like her. Jimin’s soft hand as she insists on drying Minjeong’s hair after.
Jimin’s warm fingers that kept Minjeong’s head still as she dozed off to the white noise of hairdryer and Jimin’s humming.
That’s Jimin: kindness, kindness, kindness.
Minjeong wonders if she deserves it after all.
Adapting or not adapting, is the question. But it is never a choice.
