“You have been coughing an awful lot tonight. Don't tell me you're dying on me, little hunter?”
The vampire gives him a final lick before he lets him answer, satisfied with his meal. It takes him a moment to realize Avid didn't respond with anything. Scott notices he isn't looking at him as he rises, instead having turned his head to the side. He releases his arms from the grip, the hunter barely moving, as he studies him.
"Oh, my…” “Really? That's so sad.”
Scott gives him a charming smile. “Are you sure you don't want to give being a vampire a chance, dear?"
Or... When Avid goes to meet Shelby at the obelisk, they are interrupted by a surprise guest.

Summary

Summary

Summary
The elder vampire does not think he has been so amused in centuries. The lumberjack has convinced the entire town that he is a vampire actively living on the outskirts. it's very obvious to Scott that it was originally a joke, a sarcastic comment that was taken a little bit too seriously, but as time has gone on he's leaned more and more into it getting everyone to leave him alone.

Living the same day over and over again sounds great if you're trying to save everyone, unfortunately for Owen escaping the Loop has nothing to do with anyone staying alive. He's lived through it many times before with everyone surviving and everyone dying. In this Loop all he wants to do is breathe.

By the time the first unwelcome, obnoxiously polished boot hit the main street, Dream was still perched on the rooftop, chin propped up in one hand, wings folded, with one leg dangling over the edge. He didn’t bother standing.
“Heroes!” Dream called down with fake warmth as he peered at the newcomers with sharp eyes. “Captain, Architect, King."
“You’re about… three blocks into my district.” Dream continued, holding up three fingers as if he was explaining counting to a baby. “Which means you’re either incredibly, unbelievably lost, or you’re here to ruin my morning.” He flashed a toothed grin.
“So before we waste everyone’s time, you can all turn around,” His hand morphed into a single fingered twirl, “and walk right back out.”
