Summary
Jimmy has a hard time remembering things. He knows he wasn’t always this small. He knows he wasn’t always in a cage. He knows he used to have a family.
Jimmy lets out a small chirp.
He used to be louder, nosier, but he can’t muster the energy anymore. It’s too cold and dark down here, and there's been this strange smell that hurts Jimmy’s head and makes it hard for him to see straight.
Jimmy’s headache becomes more pronounced. He lets out another soft chirp, sagging against the metal bars of his cage. He tries to stay upright, but he loses his grip on his perch and falls down to the bottom of his cage.
He tries to turn his head, to let out some sort of warning for his Miner, but something feels too heavy and constricting on his lungs and he can’t make a sound.
When he focuses back up at the ceiling, he feels like he’s flying - soaring once more, without the restriction of his cage.
He’s flying, and everything goes dark.
In which Jimmy is a canary hybrid trapped in his canary form

Summary
Now, it would be unfair to say that Tango did not know a thing or two about redstone. He was the engineer of his group! And, as dissatisfied as he sometimes was with his own work, he was sure that the countless hours tinkering over some new technology had given him a feeling for the element.
That? The thing in front of him? Yeah, that was not redstone.
That was magic.
And pretty strong magic at that.
Or: Tango finds an abandoned cage with a canary that is mysteriously alive.

Tango raises an eyebrow and says slowly, “You haven’t figured it out?”
“What?”
“I thought you followed me for a reason, but you didn’t even figure it out when Eslabs came in? Come on Canary, I know you’re at least a little smarter than that.”
“I'm amnesiac,” Jimmy blurts out, feeling relief rushing to his head immediately at finally saying it out loud, to another person. Tango’s eyes widened a little. “And I don’t remember anything that happened and no one else knows but I saw you and I just had this feeling, like I know you and I could trust you, which is a little creepy now that I said it sorry, I don’t know what’s wrong with me and why this happened —“
“Hang on songbird, slow down!” Tango yelps, holding up his hands. “You’re saying you’re what!?”

i dunno if there's a chance of this ever updating but the parts already written are so so good and i wish the author the best with whatever they're doing now. this is absolutely worth reading. i love the plot building and the intriuge

Summary
It’s mesmerising, following the fluid lines of the sculpture from the neck to the tail, each detail so delicately carved and shaped it’s impossible to imagine that it’s been carved from stone.
He’s reached a hand out before he knows it, stroking one finger carefully along the raised spines of the dragon, along its back. It’s warm beneath his hand, despite all the stone around him being cold. It’s definitely some kind of stone though, maybe a refined obsidian of some kind? It seems to swallow the light around it completely.
His finger is warm where he is touching the statue.

Summary
The king's canary has abandoned his duty. Jimmy would argue he just quit a bad job. Either way there's a bounty on his head and a curse around his neck, and with Grian and Joel's voices ringing in his ears, Jimmy's dreams of freedom seem further out of reach by the day.
That is until he saves a blaze hybrid who, for some reason, is hellbent on returning the favor. Alone, Jimmy is pathetic. Honestly, even with Tango, Jimmy still thinks they're kind of pathetic. But with a little bit of luck they just might make it.
