Summary

What if Waverly Earp and Nicole Haught were just two normal people living in a rather dull, non-supernaturally haunted Purgatory? Would their lives follow a similar path? Without the threat of impending death from a horde of resurrecting demons, would they even manage to find one another?
I think we all know the answer to that one...
Waverly is dissatisfied with her humdrum life as a barmaid and her less-than-fulfilling relationship with her high-school boyfriend. Nicole is the new deputy in town, a breath of fresh air that shakes up Waverly's otherwise static life. Both are searching for something - some sense of accomplishment in their lives - but don't know what or how.
[A re-imagining of the show from season 1, without supernatural elements and focusing more on the initial meeting of and developing relationship between Waverly and Nicole, more than we saw in season 1 of the show. Obviously, it will deviate heavily from the canon.]
