Summary
Handsome isn’t quite the word for Ajax; he’s too strong, too solid for it. Too loud and large and warm. He carries his family’s cheekbones, though, the same ones borne by Achilles, and the same thick, curled lashes. With the right wife, he would bear beautiful daughters, and handsome sons, skilled and strong as the children of kings ought to be.
Idly, Patroclus imagines the grip of those great hands around his waist. If he did not have Achilles…
But he doesn’t. Not really. The cold-hearted creature in his tent is far from the noble man who called to his soul, even in childhood. The Achilles he cleaved himself to, the one he would never betray – that man is gone.
And Ajax’s eyes shine so dangerously in the firelight.

Summary
“Achilles, you know I love you entirely,” I say. “You know nothing could ever, in all the world, change the depth of my feelings for you.”
I hear the huff of his breath, the beginnings of relief. Something in his face cracks, goes soft, and I know in a moment he will step forward and kiss me, and it will be so much harder to say the next thing once that has happened.
And so I shift back, take a step away from him, and force the next words out, even though to shatter his hopeful expectations will bring me more pain than even the thought of Briseis in Agamemnon’s hands— “but I cannot stay while you persist in this.”
--
Patroclus makes a different choice, and it changes everything.

Summary
They were never supposed to meet. A Trojan healer. A Greek prince. A war born of gods, dragged through blood and prophecy. But what begins as a chance encounter becomes something stranger—something sacred. In the shadows of plague and siege, Patroclus and Achilles find each other again and again, even as the world crumbles around them.

Summary
For Aziraphale, there were always two Crowleys: the First Crowley, the one he met in the Garden, the one he's spent 6000 years meeting across human history. And there is the Second Crowley, the one who comes to him across time, again and again, propelled, it would seem, by some unknown tragedy. Both, his hereditary enemy. His dearest friend.
For Crowley, there is a Before, and there is an After. Before, he spent 6000 years as Hell's agent on Earth, seeing Aziraphale occasionally, working together where they could get away with it. After... After, he's drawn back over and over, like he's attached by a tether that just won't let him go.
Not that he wants it to let him go. The alternative...
