Summary
Wukong bonks Macaque in the head after he tried to force Wukong to come back, and if it wasn't for his sister, Princess Iron Fan, Macaque wouldn't have survived. Instead of trying again, he stays with the Demon Bull family, keeping his survival on the down low to avoid causing them trouble.
Macaque comforts his sister and nephew after the Demon Bull King is sealed away, takes in a mysterious baby as his daughter 300 years after his sealing, and they all grow closer when the king is freed after 500 years.
But when his adopted daughter gets herself into danger, he Macaque can't afford to lay low anymore. He's the kind of person that puts 110% into the people he loves, and if his cub's life is on the line he'd give all 110% of his efforts to protect her.
(Macaque survives the fight with Wukong, PIF is Mac's sister and are both very protective, and takes in Bai He before she gets taken over by LBD.)
This is my first fic! So if my summary isn't great, that's why! I'm starving out here for more dad macaque and shadowpeach content, so I plan be posting to this pretty regularly, either once a week or once every other week depending on my workload.

“Pfft, I know I’m a looker, but you don’t hafta stare that much,” Wukong says, trying to break the tension and divert from the fact that Macaque’s intense scrutiny is making him clammy.
“Did he lose his ability to speak?” MK wonders.
Macaque’s ears flicker towards MK’s voice, and as if in response, his mouth opens, eyes still heavy on Wukong. But what comes out are not words. Or rather, not recognizable words—not to this world, not to anyone. Not anyone but Wukong.
Macaque opens his mouth, and speaks the language of celestial primates.
“Who are you?”
Or, to protect Sun Wukong, Macaque dooms himself to live out three turning points of his first life: birth, friendship, and death. When MK and the gang volunteer to look after him, Wukong is forced to grapple with memories thought to be buried, reality-shattering discoveries, and most dangerous of all, a Macaque that likes him. It's a losing battle.
