Summary
Once upon a time, long, long ago—well, more like 20 years ago—Ygraine married Uther in front of all the people of Camelot. Instead of a honeymoon, Uther purged all the kingdoms of magic and brought decades of stability to the land.
He rounded up all the sorcerers and their sidekicks—basically, all the really interesting people—and he booted them off to the Isle of the Lost with a magical barrier to keep them there.
That’s where Merlin grew up: no magic and no way out. Or so he thought.
Prince Arthur grew up in a peaceful land, surrounded by his people, who were devoted to him, and parents who loved him. Still, there was always a shadow cast onto Camelot by the Isle that loomed just on the horizon.
His first proclamation as Crown Prince sends shockwaves through the kingdom: four misfits from the Isle are to be brought into Camelot.
Chaos ensues.
