Shouto rolled his eyes. “You sound like you wouldn’t like me to come here tonight,” he said. His expression got slightly serious as he was thinking about his next words. “I assumed you would be happier to see me.”
“I’m happy,” Katsuki replied hurriedly, and his eyes softened. “I’m always happy when I can see you.”
“But?”
“But I’m not sure if we should…” He paused in the middle of the sentence, sighing. “I’m not sure if you should see me so often.” Noticing silent offence in Shouto’s eyes, he alluded, “What about your husband?”
“I don’t have a husband,” Shouto replied without hesitation.
“I might not have been invited to the wedding ceremony,” Katsuki started, snorting in amusement, “but I’m sure it happened without any unnecessary disruptions.”
