The rule of King Daeron II Targaryen was marked by fairness and honor, repairing the destruction that was left behind by the dancing Dragons and their long forgotten riders. But what good was a King without his Hand. With the former Hand dead and buried, the duty befalls none other than Lord Wendell Florent, long-time friend of his Grace and Lord of Brightwater Keep. Where the Hand goes, his family and household shall follow, and so Corinne Florent found herself in the den of the Dragons. Gentle, sweet and pensive, Corinne did not fit in with the royal court and their wicked doings. With seclusion and friendlessness looming over her head, the days grow longer and the sadness inside her heart larger.
