Kaveh simply smiled, sharp and sunlit. “And I suppose I should’ve anticipated that you’re the kind of person who’s profoundly bothered by two minutes of tardiness.”

He also, briefly, held the Kanto record for youngest ever Pokemon League champion. That was until Red, three months younger, caught up to him.
Really, Blue hadn’t even been surprised.

After a devastating loss in Rome, it seems as if there's no end to the list of challenges faced by the crew of the Argo II. Hecate sent them on a wild goose chase across the Italy while expecting Hazel to learn magic from a mustelid. Annabeth is failing to find a use for the statue she risked life and limb to retrieve. There's an extremely volatile son of Jupiter prowling around, threatening to blow the ship out of the sky, assuming one of the dozens of monsters don't get to them first. Cherry on top, Piper and Leo are currently trapped in Tartarus, and their only hope of rescue is their friends managing to make it to the bottom floor of the Necromanteion. Piece of cake.

Things manage to go worse than he could have ever imagined when he finds himself stranded in Oklahoma in the middle of the night, but maybe that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Eva seems to analyze his comment more than she should. In the end, her response sounds much more natural than the motionless expression on her face. "You don't have to like mathematics to be able to admire nature."

Just as Till begins to walk away, making a mental note to stop by at a convenience store to get a whole gallon of ice cream and cry his heart out while eviscerating some randos on one of his FPS games, an arm hooks him by the neck, dragging him close to its owner. He jerks his head and looks up at Ivan in instant annoyance, coming face-to-face with a snaggle-toothed grin.
"Now you and I are going on a date of our own."
in which Till invariably spends more time with Ivan, who's intent on distracting and cheering him up following his heartbreak. This absolutely, definitely, obviously does not lead to any other outcome at all.

“That motherfucker,” Till grumbled before running to catch up with his friends. The biggest obstacle between Till and the love of his life, his main rival in the competition for Mizi’s heart was— of course— Ivan.
