Summary
It’s an awful plan, if he thinks about it, because there are so many variables that might backfire. Maybe Rapunzel will make it back on the ship somehow, or worse, Andrew or one of the others. Maybe his calculations are wrong (which is why he’s in this situation in the first place, after all) and the Quirineon will explode before it gets the ship up high enough.
Maybe he doesn’t want to die.

What if Varian had the idea to use the Quirineon first? -

Summary
He opened his mouth, but for some reason, the words got stuck in his throat. He took a shaky breath; the air tasted dusty on his tongue, but even now, the stench of blood lingering just beneath the surface wouldn’t disappear. What he finally got to muster was analogous to the question he had been meaning to ask, just in a wording more true to the emptiness in his chest. “What is it we’re doing, then?“
Castti gave him a smile. Even in the dim light, the shine in her eyes seemed just as warm as the tone of her voice when she replied. “Extend a hand to all those in need.“

Summary
The Martyr is gone, reduced to ash by the one she cherished most.
For the ones she left behind, she leaves them with nothing but pain, sadness, an ache where she once lay.
For the Leader, who loved her so, and her former friends, she leaves them with nothing but questions.
Questions and an aching hole, where the Martyr once lay.
Oh, Goddess...

Summary
The moon shines down on the unfortunate. Those taken by the shadow's call. The unwitting pawns curling themselves into their strings. All have their parts to play in the Order's plans.
The Dark Hunter prowls. More beast than man, she does all her lady wills. Death follows where she steps. Blood drips from her victims, from her allies, from herself. The beast howls before the sun dies.
The Martyr loses herself in her devotion. Her thoughts, her body, her heart, her being, all offerings to her Goddess. She wanders, she finds, but she will never be found. Her story was written from far too long ago.
The Sharp-Eyed Hound watches the Eagle from the shadows below. She follows and she plans. She writes words. But who's are they? As the Dark God's revival approaches, she looks and she yearns. She sees the light from the shadows.
But, like the dawn, does it truly matter?
"Surrender yourselves not unto silent dusk. For the light shall fade. And soon, night shall fall."
