The age of fedoras and pinstriped suits was long gone, and thank god for that. Well-worn trousers and brightly-coloured cardigans were infinitely more comfortable, and they had the added benefits of being cheap and not screaming “mobster” to any passing friendly policeman.
Q works for the mob. Eve is his wife out of necessity, Mallory is the boss, and there's someone above him that is powerful enough that no one cares about the gender of the people he takes to bed. Q dreams of men in well-fitting suits, and James Bond has a liking for expensive threads and a certain curly-haired hacker.
Q's fairly certain that he's going to die, most of the time.
