Summary
This would be your first time meeting some of the other Guardians, as well as Jack's friends, and you would be lying if you said you weren't just a bit nervous. Not that you weren't excited! And from everything you had heard, you were sure everyone would be kind and welcoming. Large social settings just… weren't your forte.
But you should've expected that you would have to get used to them sooner or later— it came with dating one of the Guardians after all.

When Sandy invites you to join him for a group date night decorating ginger bread houses, you're a bit nervous, but willing to give it a try! And thank goodness you do, as the night turns out to be a fun, fluffy, and very sweet time.

[ He drinks the tea and tries not to look uncomfortable as Zhao moves closer and closer. He doesn't know how, but somehow every time he blinks the man is closer. He should say something, but what? He’s not actually doing anything wrong. (He should move closer; Zuko is his prince, and he should be hanging on his every word. It was perfectly reasonable.)
If uncle were here, objecting would earn a stern look and a proverb on the nature of politeness and being receptive to your conversation partners.
Zuko says nothing.
Zhao is next to him now. He rests a hand on Zuko's thigh.
He wants to say something, but his head feels like it’s stuffed with cotton and his tongue won't work properly. ]Wherever Zuko goes, Zhao always seems to be there, smirking & offering him tea. He doesn't want the tea-that-is-not-just-tea. But he can't explain why to his uncle, or tell him that the very thought of tea makes him want to scream (in rage, not fear, because princes don't feel fear).

Summary
Once, nobility existed to protect the common folk. After a hundred years of warfare, nobility only existed to use those beneath them to increase their power. Nobles were selfish and were incapable of seeing past their own egos. There were very few exceptions to the rule. General Iroh seemed to have been cut from a different cloth from the rest of his family, or had learned the hard way how to be a decent human being. Prince Zuko was confusing, to say the least.
Recovery is a process that one cannot go through alone. It is not a weakness to accept help from others; accepting help is the only way to truly heal.
As Zuko learns how to adjust to life at sea, his crew learns to care for their banished prince.
