Summary
The Jade Emperor’s palace does not have a prison. There are not cells in the basement. There is nowhere to keep prisoners. Of course, elsewhere in Heaven there are, but never before had there been a need for any within the palace itself.
They keep Nezha on the floor. It’s cold, the shining marble, regardless of the cracks that now run through it. It’s cold and hard, and it does nothing for his wounds to lay upon it.
There is a heavy metal shackle around his neck. None around his hands, nor his feet, because they do not think him a threat at all. They are not afraid of him. And why should they be? Peng had been thorough in tearing him down. His ribs are crushed, his ankle snapped, there is a festering wound reaching from hip to chest, and his brain feels remarkably like it is full of slush.
The shackle round his throat is not for the Brotherhood’s protection, rather, it is a decoration.

Summary
It all ended well. It all ended perfectly fine. Everything was fine. It wasn’t a disaster. Heaven is still intact, Earth is still intact, the Samadhi fire is under control and no longer a threat. Everything is fine.
So why does Nezha feel as though he’s being marched towards his death? The halls are silent aside from his footsteps, and those of his escorts.
He doesn’t really know why he’s surprised, why he thought that this time would be any different than the last several. Taking the blows for Sun Wukong is not new, it’s routine. Nezha isn’t his official keeper, by any means, but he always seems to be thrown under the bus when the monkey does something wrong. And besides, he did allow the map to be stolen in the first place, even if it turned out to be in the world’s best interests in the end.

“Well they aren’t his! He doesn’t get to keep them all! He wasn’t even using them!” Rudo bats one of Dear’s little hands away and shoves him back just as Bro gets there.
“Dear, Dear, stop it!” he orders, grabbing Dear by his wrists as he lunges towards Rudo again. This doesn’t blow over well, as expected, and Dear screams through his pacifier. He throws himself backwards into Bro’s chest as Bro snakes an arm around Dear’s waist and drags him away from the group. He squirms and bucks and kicks, trying with all his might to get out of the tight hold. “I know, buddy, but we’ve talked about this, we don’t hit.”
Bro sits back on his heels. He hates this, having to restrain Dear while he kicks and flails. It feels cruel, but he also knows that he can’t just let him hit others when he’s angry. He’s absolutely horrified when he hears his boy sob.

Shiro had known that raising two children would be challenging. Them being the sons of Satan didn’t exactly make it easier. He’d expected illness and fighting and learning curbs for them and himself. Injuries from roughhousing, nightmares, tantrums were all things he was prepared to handle.
He had not been expecting a kid that wouldn’t eat. He doesn’t know what to do. Yukio simply doesn’t eat. He doesn’t eat if he’s sad, or angry, or he feels sick (which is very, very often), or something hurts, or he doesn’t want to, or the food isn’t exactly the way he wants it. He’s picky, to put it mildly, and it’s gradually starting to get on Shiro’s nerves. Besides, Yukio’s favorite foods aren’t very nutritious at all. He needs to be eating healthier.

She sets her sack of groceries in the kitchen and quietly pads across the room to look around the curtain into his bedroom. He’s sat in the corner, curled tightly around his large stuffed toy, whimpering. Her heart pangs at the sight, guilt chewing through her chest.
“Lelouch?” she calls, softly. He jolts, but turns to peek over his shoulder at her. “It’s alright. I’m back now.” There’s no telling what spooked him this time. It could have been something so simple as his own shadow for all she knows. She crouches beside him, resting a hand on his back. He’s trembling. “Are you hungry?”
She doesn’t know exactly why she insists on talking to him. He isn’t going to respond, no matter what, so really she’s wasting her breath. It makes her feel less guilty, maybe, in some way or another. Maybe she feels it’s less dehumanizing on his end. It isn’t.

Summary
Hawks' approach is languid, his expression is easy and open. Even knowing it's fake, Dabi can't see the cracks in the façade. Horrifying, really.
"Hey," Hawks greets as he enters the shadow of the alley. He then proceeds to crash against the brick wall at a glacial pace, face smooshed up against the brick and his shoulders and torso slumping to follow.
In half surprise, half genuine glee, Dabi cackles. Hawks' arm twitches at his side like maybe he'd flip Dabi off if he had the strength.
Dabi's still chuckling when he asks, "How ya feelin', hero?"
"Like shit," Hawks grumbles into the wall.
"You look it," Dabi assures him, grinning and pulling out his phone. He came all this way; Hawks can afford to wait a minute while Dabi gets a few pictures.
Trying to get a ride home from a party, Hawks misdials and gets Dabi. Dabi, thinking it'll be fun to see his "favorite hero" drunk out of his mind, agrees to help Hawks get home.
Things get a lot less fun when Dabi realizes Hawks isn't drunk.

Summary
