Summary
If things were different, and Laenor died in the Stepstones after Jace was born, how would things look if Rhaenyra had been able to marry Harwin? Well, he could claim two of his sons as his own, and spend much more time with them, and the Greens have limited ammunition to keep causing drama. That doesn't stop them, though.
Everyone's favourite scene from 1x06, reimagined so Harwin doesn't get himself shipped off to Harrenhal, and Cole still gets what's coming to him.

"My love...." his voice trailed away as he rounded the corner of the room, keeping her in his line of sight. He wanted to see it, the child, the babe, the daughter he could've had.
Rhaenyra sniffled almost pitifully drawing her legs in closer to herself, hating the soreness in her joints. "Please, Daemon. Don't say words of comfort to me, not now. Not with this."
Daemon nearly broke into tears at the ache in her voice, the shakiness in her body. He saw the child, covered in blood and tiny and perfect.
She was dying inside, he was dying inside. Their love lead to this, everything good in their lives had lead to disaster, why should've this been any different.

Summary

Laena, as prim and proper as someone with a belly as large as hers can, waddles over and sits down at the foot of the bed, a tense jaw the only thing to betray the severity of her mood. “Get out.” She demands quietly.
The whore looks at him like she is expecting him to tell her to stay. Annoyed, he makes a face at her and motions pointedly towards the door. She huffs and puffs and glares—not towards him, because she’s not that foolish. No, all her attitude is pointed in Laena’s direction as she gathers herself and her clothes and rushes out.
His wife lies back against his pillows, staring up at the opposite wall in a silence that may be simply contemplative, or the far more likely option of malicious deliberation. He waits for her to speak, but she does not, so he bends and picks up his britches.
A few moments later, he is dressed from the waist down and reclined parallel to her on the bed. Her silence stretches long enough that he doesn’t expect it when her voice cuts through the silence disbelievingly. “Did that little bitch just scowl at me?”
