Summary
Lambert stumbles across a sick man all alone in the middle of buttfuck nowhere and there is somenthing familiar about him. He ends up playing the reluctant nursemaid to a stranger who can't stay awake for long enough to tell him his name or the reason he isn't afraid of witchers. Somehow, like most of Lambert's problems in life, it's Geralt's fault.

In the year 1242, Geralt asks his kinsmen the fateful question: "We hunt monsters, true, but what about monsters in the shape of man?"
By the year 1243, Geralt had unwittingly become the Warlord in the North, with all Witchers united under his metaphorical- and eventually literal- banners.
All Witchers that had come home, of course. Not everyone had that opportunity, and a scant few never even got to know about the creation of the Wolflands, or the laws and protections that oversaw them.

“A lot can happen in six years, Geralt,” Jaskier says eventually. “Some people become warlords. Some do… other things.”

Eric grunts an affirmative.
“Why do you have a baby?” Jaskier demands, because although Eric of the Wolf School is a Master Witcher and has shown extreme skill in everything from tracking monsters to slaying monsters to bashing knights over the head, not once has he ever displayed even the slightest interest in babies.
Eric gives him a look. And then he gives Jaskier the baby.
And that is how Jaskier ends up leaving Cintra: with a Witcher, a baby, and a milk goat.

"It doesn't matter," his father had said when one of his closest advisors expressed concern about the possible consequences. "Witchers are sterile, they won't make him any bastards. It's only a year and he's still young, he'll still be fertile when he comes back."

Summary
Jaskier finds himself in the halls of Kaer Morhen, home to the Warlord of the North. He didn’t expect to find the Warlord so attractive though.
Jaskier figures his normal gambit of flowers and poetry won’t go down well with a witcher, which leads to the immortal question of how to court one. Geralt figures if he wants to catch Jaskier’s eye he needs to compete with the techniques of the fancy courts Jaskier is used to. Both end in much confusion and little success.
Eskel, Lambert, Yennefer, and Ciri have a betting pool, and watch on in amusement.

The life Julian always wanted isn't the one he's living, and he's going to have to accept that. He's done plenty well for himself as one of the youngest-ever professors at Oxenfurt Academy. He has friends, even if they've all moved away. A family he loves, even if he doesn't keep in touch. And if the crowds are underwhelmed when he dresses up and calls himself the bard Jaskier, it's only because that life wasn't meant to be his.
There's no reason for him to doubt this--at least not until his future at the Academy is suddenly up in the air, students start dying in the night, and the Butcher of Blaviken comes to town.

Two weeks into traveling with Geralt, Jaskier wakes with a horrifically familiar ache in his lower abdomen and resists the urge to beat his head into the ground at the slickness he can feel between his thighs, a slickness he has a terrible suspicion isn’t from some fun dream he can’t remember. He lifts his head to take a quick look around camp and finds Geralt absent, which fills him with a quick swell of annoyed anxiety at the thought that he’s been ditched again until he realizes Roach is still standing in place grazing happily on a patch of clover. Coast clear, a quick reach between his legs confirms his suspicions when his fingertips come back red.
“Fuckity fucking fuck,” Jaskier hisses under his breath, slamming his head back into the ground. Perfect. Absolutely fucking perfect. Just what he fucking needs when he’s trying to convince Geralt to stop trying to get rid of him. He winces at a sharp stab in his pelvis and lifts the cover of his bedroll to glare at his own body. “Fuck you.”
