But, despite everything she had gone through with all who have been kind enough to help her… a certain Inkling that she so desperately wanted to interact with was giving her mixed signals.

A story that takes place after the Octo Expansion where Pearl and Marina take Agent Eight in and she does her best to connect with Agent Three. Agent Three also learns to accept help from others, especially concerning her new sanitization injuries.

Captain believed that Neo was capable.
She believed that Neo was fully adept in breezing through missions and coming out successful like Captain herself did as the previous Agent Three.
Though, Captain could tell what Neo truly believed…that she didn’t have the potential and couldn’t live up to Captains previous feats or even current ones.
But…that’s not what Captain believes. And that’s also not what she wants from Neo.

Summary
Daisuke is walking. He’s wandering, and wandering, and wandering. He has been for a while.
In a desolate white void, he is wandering. He does not know what he is heading for, but that’s the point of wandering, right? You don’t have a specific destination in mind when wandering, that’s not the definition of the word. At least, Daisuke doesn’t think it is. He doesn’t really know, he doesn’t know a lot of stuff these days. A vast plain of nothing, no goal in mind and no ambition; in this place with truly nothingness, Daisuke will walk and he will walk until his feet trip over themselves from exhaustion and he ends up dragging himself with his arms instead. When his arms fail, he will lay motionless, and then he really, truly, will become nothing.
When you run out of strength, of motivation, of drive, what becomes of you? When you have no ambition in life and no future in mind besides a short one ending with alcohol in your veins and boiling self-hatred in your gut, what becomes of you?
What will become of Daisuke?
He doesn’t know.
He keeps walking.
