Summary
When they accidentally cause trouble for the wrong mob boss, Jack and Janet Drake come up with a completely flawless plan: return to Gotham to retrieve their son, fake the deaths of their entire family, then flee to Belgium. Tim can see a number of issues with this, mainly that (1) it's the stupidest thing he's ever heard, (2) his parents are definitely lying to him about something, and (3) Belgium. With all to play for, it's now up to Tim to create a believable narrative and avoid getting caught by any means necessary - even if that means traumatising the odd vigilante or two. He's willing to do whatever it takes to protect his family.

The mist shimmered, before showing them all an image of a once beautiful mountain now surrounded by clouds of ashen smoke and bright red lava. No sign of green in sight, all the trees destroyed.
Pollux's eyes widened, Katie Gardner gasped, and Beckendorf clenched his fists so tightly they began to pale. All Annabeth could do was pray to her mother. Please, she thought on repeat, not him.
"So…" Lee Fletcher started tentatively, "is Percy alive?"
The thought that Percy died in the eruption shook everyone in the room to their core. Not only because he was a great and loyal friend, but because he was supposed to be the one of the great prophecy.
In which following the eruption caused by Percy at Mount Saint Helens, instead of landing on Calypso's Island, Percy is thrown far back into the Labyrinth and captured by the titans. Annabeth must continue on her quest alone while Percy fights for survival.

“Why don’t you just ask around?” she asked him. “Heroes have stories and people are always eager to tell them. I’m sure any of the Greeks could tell you more about him.”
“It’s not a bad idea,” Jordan added. “It would be nice knowing exactly why he was part of the prophesied Seven. I know the Venus girl had sorcery and the Vulcan boy obviously had power over fire. But why Jackson? Just because they took a boat?”
Despite raising him on a shield, Romans don't know much about Percy Jackson, or even the Greeks in general. As the Legion attempts to recover from the wars, they find out there is far more to the Son of Neptune then they originally thought, and learn quite a few things about themselves along the way.

Ace doesn't let Luffy finish, he removes the shirt entirely, hands shaking.
“I can’t believe you went and got yourself so hurt without me, do you know how much I worried about you?” The smile he gives doesn’t reach his eyes at all, but it seems to shake Luffy from whatever memory was surfacing. “Troublesome little brother, I missed you so much.”
Or
Ace loses two brothers the night of the fire. One to death, and the other to a darkness he might never be able to chase away.

If Sabo had been stabbed with sea stone, it would have hurt less. If he had burned with the Grey Terminal, or drowned at sea in front of the Celestial Dragons, it would have hurt less than this.
He’s on his feet before he’s aware of moving, seat tipping over and rolling away behind him. He can feel the steam start to lift off his super-heated skin as Ace’s fire inside him reacts to the way his heart is racing.
“Don’t say that,” he says, too loud, almost a shout.

Summary
“Still want to explore that cave on the other side of the river?” Sabo asks, after sticking the rusty doohickey into his knapsack.
Ace peers at him over the edge of the rock shelf. “Didn’t you go yesterday?”
“Not without you, idiot.”
The mer rudely sticks his tongue out, but his eyes are gleaming, so Sabo figures he made the right choice in waiting. They continue to bicker and banter while heading up the shoreline, boots leaving prints across patches of sand, tail swishing through the ebb and flow of the surf. It’s peaceful, this far out from Goa’s port and the Grey Terminal’s trash heaps. Fairly safe, too, right at the shoreline where Sabo won’t be bothered by jungle beasts, and Ace is safe from undersea predators too, even if he claims to regularly tussle with sharks and scare off the local Sea King.
So it takes Sabo completely by surprise when a second head of dark hair pops up out of the water, and an unknown mer hollers, “Ace! I found you!”
