Summary
Buck suffers a concussion at work, and stays with Eddie to recuperate. The intimacy of Eddie’s care brings to a head the feelings Buck has been trying to hide since Eddie came out as gay.
When Buck’s recovery suffers a worrying setback, he finds out that maybe he isn’t the only one keeping important feelings to himself.
——————————————
“It’s Ok, Buck. I got you. You’re Ok.”
Eddie.
“I dimmed the light. You can try again if you want. But only if you want, and only when you’re ready.”
Buck took a long moment to make sense of that. Then, once he’d worked out Eddie had somehow made it less bright, he cautiously opened his eyes again.
Better. It was better.
This time, things were a little more in focus. He saw Eddie. Eddie’s beautiful face. Wait, he wasn’t allowed to think Eddie was beautiful. Or was he? No. He could think it. Not say it.
That was important.

Summary
“You know,” Maddie says, waving a hand in a how silly! gesture before Buck can get the word out. “The competition.”
Eddie redirects his gaze to Maddie. “Competition?”
He could drop his glass on the concrete. Or yell fire! convincingly enough to buy him enough time to run. He could make himself throw up, or pretend to faint, or just make a break for his truck and drive it directly into the ocean.

Summary
Ravi shook his head in disbelief. He still couldn’t believe that someone like Hen would hide something like this for such a long time.
“Do you think she’ll be able to come back?”
“Well, not before we see how the treatment goes, I guess, but I have to be positive. I can’t lose Hen on top of everything.”
Or
Buck and Ravi talk about Hen's speech and how the team has been struggling with their grief. When Eddie joins in the conversation, it turns into a confession.Bookmarked by Caserus_Reidinski

Summary
If you told Ravi this morning that he’d be stuck under a building.
He would’ve said, “yeah probably.” Because the 118s luck is that of legends. So astronomically bad and yet so good. They have been through tsunamis, cruise take overs, bee-nados, mudslides, plane crashes, space debris, deadly diseases, and earthquakes. And yet, they always manage to come out on top.
So, yeah, Ravi’s been expecting something to go wrong. It’s been awhile.
