“Bloody hell,” Sirius muttered, eyes wide.
Before anyone could react further, three sigils tore free from the page like molten brands. It floated in the air before James, Lily, and Regulus. The light engulfed them, wrapping around their figures in blinding arcs.
“Don’t move!” Lily shouted, even as her outline blurred in the glow.
Regulus tried to wrench himself free, but the magic caught him fast, pulling him upright. His glare shot toward James through the searing light. “This is your fault—”
And then the glow swallowed them whole.
The dormitory vanished.

Summary
Abolish is (was, he wants to say, but no, he still is) a servant. Left in the castle, he is the only breathing inhabitant, the only one awake. He waits for a moment he doesn't look forward to, and he maintains walls he doesn't need. Abolish is a servant — the best one in all the Goldsmith residence, because he is now the only one.
Abolish waited for six hundred years.
Or; Abolish was cursed to never leave Scott's side. He can't tell anyone about that.

The Doctor's heart was pounding. Louis had not ever heard someone sound so afraid before, but Louis could not think of why. Could not think of the blood on Owen's front, the red staining his teeth as he hissed a deep guttural growl at the Doctor, pale and ill looking and trembling with leashed violence.
"Owen," Legundo said, still gingerly kneeling, holding both his hands up and releasing Louis to do so. Louis was too tired after his previous struggle to reach Owen, could not take advantage and go to his love like he wished, but he called instead. A high pleading chirp that had Legundo flinching, although he did not turn to stare at Louis like he had before. He, like Louis, was not taking his eyes off Owen.
Owen, who was across the room from them. Surely if this was a dream, Owen would come here, he would not leave Louis cold and alone and hurting.
"Owen, I am not hurting him, please—"
"You're not leaving this place alive, Doctor. You've made a mistake, coming here, you and Avid both."

Owen isn't an idiot. He knows that if Scott finds out he's basically a newborn in vampire terms, he's going to take the easy meal and kill him. So, he lied-said he had been alive 200 years instead of in a state of unconciousness for 200 years. Hopefully Scott buys it.
Scott knows Owen is full of bullshit. No Sire would let a fledgling that young out of their sight at 200 years old, let alone out here. He thinks he's roughly 300, and is lying to make himself look like less of a threat.
Scott and Owen have a truce-they both stay out of each other's business and don't kill any humans. But for some reason, Owen is so, so hungry. And animal blood isn't cutting it.
Scott, on the other hand, is a little concerned at how bad at vampirism Owen is.

Summary
No matter what Juno said retrospectively, Peter was in no way actually imprisoned in the brig of the Carte Blanche. Even half-dying and with a broken leg, Peter could have broken out of Hoosegow with nothing but a shoestring and the power of suggestion. He remained in the brig of the Carte Blanche as a gesture of repentance, constrained only by ties of love and friendship.
“Jail, Nureyev,” Juno said later, rolling his eye at him. “We put you in jail.”
But he was getting ahead of himself.

Juno was laid on a metal table that looked more suited to holding a corpse than a breathing body. For a moment that stilled Jet’s heart, he appeared to be just that: gray, still, and lifeless. Then he caught just the barest hitch of his chest, and he could move again. He kicked a dying guard aside to make room at the doors, he and Buddy both flanking the exit with their blasters in hand.
Ransom was the first to reach him. These were the moments that felt most sincere from the thief, though again, Jet had no capacity for such a thought. Only in retrospect would he realize that he only felt he understood the man called Peter Ransom when he choked out “Juno,” with the terror of something far worse than death.

Ah—the gruff voice from before. Peter knows better than to refuse. He sits up, then shudders from his toes to his fingertips. His ribs feel like a battered marimba. He does his best to fold away the worst of the pain, crosses his legs and holds out his hand. The officer passes him the cup. Peter drinks.
“Come to play good cop, have we?” Peter asks once he’s done.
The officer plucks the empty cup out of his hand. “Pretty sure we both know that’s an oxymoron, but thanks for the vote of confidence."
