"You know my son?" She asks, very disbelieving, because her son, as far as she knows, is trying very, very hard, fighting with his wife about it every goddamned day, to get out of the life, for his daughter's sake. And this boy looks about as in the life as one could possibly get. But then, the strangest thing happens, Allison comes up behind her asking:
"Gramma? Who i'sit?"
And the boy's face melts, "Awwww," he coos, "Ally! You're just the cutest little thing, aren't you!"
Allison blushes brightly, "Umm, hi?"
"Hello, there. My name is Stiles, I know your daddy, he talks about you all the time, did you know that? He loves you the bestest out of everyone in the whole world! And why wouldn't he? Look at you, those pinchable cheeks!" And all of her doubt flies out the window. Allison is one of the Argents better-kept secrets, because Chris has been adamant about that, if the boy knows of her Chris must trust him immensely.
[Or: The one where Chris, Stiles, and Peter go back in time and fuck shit up, and scoop up a little Allison along the way.]

7/8/20 - Shmoopiness well deserved for those three. Definitely worth another read in the future. Last read 7/2022, 5/2/24 - a beautiful loving relationship evolution out of such complete darkness. 11/21/25 - Huh. Summary
Little seven-year-old Cora is next in line, peering up at Stiles from where she stands clutching at her big brother's hand.
“Where’s your crown?” she asks in that blunt manner most children seem to possess.
“Cora,” Derek chides, his voice smoothed with fondness.
“I just want to know if he has a pretty crown!”
Stiles crouches down. “I bet it’s not as pretty as yours, Your Highness,” he says, taking her hand and kissing it.
Cora flushes with pride and beams. She tugs on her brother's hand, looking up at him as she extends her other to point at Stiles, finger an inch away from his face. “I want you to marry him."

Whilst attending the wedding of his best friend, Prince Stiles comes face to face with Prince Derek, a member of the Hale delegation from the north. His father considers Prince Derek a worthy match, but tales of the man's reputation as a bore - not to mention his suspected involvement in an assassination attempt on his own family - feeds Stiles' distrust before they've ever even met.
