ParrotX2’s life sucks, like really badly. Well, of course it would. He’s born quarter parrot which basically meant his wings were too small to fly while still having them affect ordinary life. His parents died very young, he has almost no friends and the people he was friends with either died or left him.
he lives off of instant noodles and he works at the most dangerous coffee shop around. Oh did he mention his powers suck ass?
But it’s fine, it’s totally fine, as long as his life plans don’t get thrown out of the window because of Villains, or hero’s, or Vigilantes. He’ll make it work.
Turns out, life kind of has a way of fucking him over.

This is a trick. Till should say no. Till should acknowledge that he’s been acting really weird about his best friend lately and that he has to get normal before they see each other again. Till should tell Ivan to spend his once-in-a-blue-moon free day relaxing at a spa—a spa? Till frowns. People would get so fucking weird about that. He should go somewhere else where clothes are involved. Skiing sounds better—and not slouching at Till’s ass dorm. Till should get a grip.

Fake-marrying your estranged childhood best friend for lower tuition fees is probably a bad idea, right? Till tells himself it’s just paperwork – just two scribbled signatures, tax benefits, and a way to survive their last year of university without drowning in debt. It doesn’t matter that Ivan was once the only person who ever really knew him, or that they haven’t spoken in years, or that being around him now feels like pressing on a bruise Till thought had faded.
It’s fine. It’s practical, even.
At least, it would be if Ivan didn’t still make his heart do stupid things every time their hands brushed, or if Till didn’t keep catching Ivan staring at him just a little too long to be considered friendly.
But, really, it’s just a marriage on paper. No feelings. No complications. Nothing could possibly go wrong.
