Summary
In the black, twin points of glowing red appear, fierce and burning eyes that stop Lan Wangji in his tracks. He stares, swallowing thickly, before taking another step. This one is met with a growl, almost like an animal and hardly like a man.
“Get out.”
The voice is low, dripping with warning, and Wangji thinks that listening might be wise.
“No,” he says instead.
The bodiless voice laughs, a haunting thing that echoes in the stone walls.
“They sent me such a pretty young master,” it drawls. Wangji can almost feel the voice caressing his skin, and shivers. “Shame on them.”
(The Yiling Patriarch is taken captive. Lan Wangji is tasked with keeping his power at bay.)

Summary

Summary

His family's safety has been assured: Jiang Cheng is in command of Lotus Pier, Jiang Yanli, Jin Zixuan, and Jin Ling are ensconced in Koi Tower. The Wen Remnants will be secluded and guarded in the Cloud Recesses, where Wei Wuxian trusts Lan Wangji to look after them, even when Lan Qiren disapproves.

Summary
This is the only warning Lan Wangji gets before his entire life flashes before his eyes. Wei Wuxian is grinding on him. Hard. There's absolutely no way that he can't feel how hard Lan Wangji is right now as his ass keeps pressing against him to the dulcet sound of Fifty Cent telling him to "put his back into it."
"Eyy, get it, Wuxian!" Another firefighter pops Lan Wangji's bubble, interrupting their private moment. "I didn't know you swung that way!"
"Xing-ge, sto-oop!" Wei Ying laughs at the man as he turns around in Lan Wangji's arms. "You know I'm straight!"
Lan Wangji's blood immediately runs cold. What.
"Just because not everyone is secure enough in their sexuality to throw ass alongside such a fine specimen of man doesn't make me gay. I'm secure in my own masculinity, you should try it sometime, man!"
Lan Wangji feels like his entire world is imploding in front of his eyes. This man — this man, who threw himself at Lan Wangji so desperately, who exhibited all the symptoms of being a classic brat, who exuded such intense "bottom" energy — is straight.
