Summary
Work Your Magic is a tinker alt-power on the surface. Taylor can make laser guns, power armor, teleporters, and all the fun hallmarks of super technology. However, she does this by manipulating aether; a limitless, seemingly magical source of energy that can be turned into whatever Taylor wants. Through the use of mystical runes and patterns, Taylor can turn almost anything into a tool for her tinkering. It's a weird mix of hard sci-fi and soft fantasy, with lots of in-depth explanations from Taylor as she works that don't exactly work in our realm of physical understanding.
If you want to show your appreciation for the story, all I ask is that you comment. Seeing viewers in the thread is fun, seeing likes is fun, but comments are what really fuel my desire for a story. It shows if the audience understands or if they're just along for the ride. Ask questions, speculate, say what about the story works and what doesn't. I don't know how to give you all a story you love if you don't tell me what you love.
With all that said, I hope you enjoy Work Your Magic. It's a favorite of mine, and I want to do it justice.

Summary
Taylor triggered with a Tinker power, and not one who could make cool lasers or mechs or hoverboards... nope, she could grow plants. Mostly normal plants, not even dangerous battle plants she could use to fight crime.
It turns out... growing plants with unusual effects is strangely versatile. Just because you cannot use your power to fight doesn't mean you cannot help in other ways!
