When the Doctor comes to again, head spinning and hearts pounding, only a few things have changed. He would have expected a change of scenery at least, perhaps even a game themed torture labyrinth. But no, he is still in the same room (If this strange void with an illuminated stage can be called a room), still sitting at the very table he had played and lost at.
Ultimately, only two things differ from before:
1) Donna is gone
2) His own chair is now empty, as he is sitting on the Toymaker’s lap. -
