    “What’s Percy short for, Jackson?” Mr. D asked one afternoon where Percy had been roped into playing pinochle again.

    Percy looked up from his cards, “it’s short for Perseus.” Mr. D was apparently known for getting all of the campers' names wrong, so Percy thought it was a strange question. Percy also thought Mr. D was a strange man–god, whatever–though so he didn’t say anything about it.

    “Why did your mother name you that?”

    Percy just shrugged. His mother had never told him why she had named him what she did, and now he would never know.

    Mr. D looked at him for what felt like forever. “It’s an unfortunate name.” He finally said. Percy felt like he should have been offended–if only on his mother’s behalf, but there was something in Mr. D’s tone that made Percy not want to question it.

    He looked back down at his cards.

    Or, Percy resembles Apollo's long-lost lover, Perseus. This isn't a good thing.

    The anger does not abate. It boils inside of him and he thinks that killing his brother’s murderer only made it worse.

    Perhaps that’s why he doesn’t think his wish through. Perhaps it’s just the grief and the bone-deep exhaustion he’s accumulated over the past eight years deciding to rear its head. Yoojin doesn’t know.

    But when he makes his wish, he just asks to be taken back to prevent his brother’s death, no matter how many tries it takes.

    He regrets the wish almost immediately.

    Or, Yoojin words his wish differently and changes things both for the better and for the worse.

    It turns out that bonding with Marco is a sacrifice Tom is more than willing to make.

    I DIDNT EVEN REMEMBER UNTIL GLOSSARICKS KABOOMED HOLY SHIR HAHAHAHAHAHA THE DEJA VU WENT INSANE THIS FIC IS SO GOOD

    you don't get how feral I am for this fic. my god this is the #1 svtfoe fic I've ever read it's so fucking peak. idc if it's unfinished the way the narrative closes on a cliffhanger is so freaking the delicious I have never loved 4th wall breaking more then I have in this fic. honestly will die of a heart attack if this ever updates but for now it's still beautifully tied up in a chaotic little bow

    gah my heart my mind my soul oooooh to have been able to forget this master piece is blessing bestowed upon me for even after I realised I had read this, it was
    a) right as the 4th wall stuff really went absolutely hogwild and things were getting serious.
    b) in the final stretch and even then I didn't remember what happened next until I was already reading it.
