Summary
A collection of different, unrelated ficlets set in the following AU:
Relativity Falls but at the end of the summer Stan learns the very important lesson of not being “selfish” courtesy of Grauntie Mabel, who saw too much of herself in Stan and didn't want him to end up like her, and returns to New Jersey alone.
Through the years the excuses as to why Stan can’t come visit pile up. He broke his leg, caught the flu, has a summer job, broke a vase in the shop and is under house arrest etc etc.
Ford eventually gets fed up with all the excuses and stops calling home. Stan obviously doesn’t want to see him anymore now that he got other friends with his freak of a brother out of the picture.
Years pass and the police are standing in front of the Shack.
Filbrick Pines is dead and Stan is nowhere to be found.I accidentally created an AU on tumblr and even more accidentally started to occasionally write little ficlets as answers to asks I've gotten. I've decided I might as well fix them up and post them here as well.
Unless stated otherwise all fics in here are standalones and finished. I might end up changing my mind though.

Brrring...
Ford's head snapped up, eyes narrowing. The phone? Who on earth would be calling him at this hour? Certainly not any of his professors. One of his colleagues? More likely, but he had told them repeatedly not to call him late at night.
Irritation flared.
The man made his way over to the landline, glaring for a brief moment and imagining letting it ring–
Brrring!
–But who knew how long they would try to call him for. He wasn't keen on adding a headache to everything.
This had better be important.
With a long-suffering sigh, he picked up the phone, "Hello? Stanford Pines speaking."
A pause. Then:
Hello, this is Head Nurse Vandermeer from Henry County Hospital, calling regarding a John Doe patient currently held in the ICU...
And Ford's world, so simple, tipped on its axis.

or: Ford gets a call regarding Stanley's failing health in the hospital. It all goes downhill from there.

It's certainly a rough thing to experience if you're a friend of the old man. However, little Gideon - the most adorable (and recently redeemed!) villain - could only care so much.
At least until they find themselves on the set of his favourite magic show! The many fascinating magic tricks performed by a brilliant magician and an even better assistant; It was a show he'd loved for years and had been inspired by, but had never seen the final episode of... But... How exactly does all this relate to his nemesis?
