    “What a difference three minutes makes,” Subaru mutters, massaging his temple. “My brain trembles. Hey, Reinhard, what’s wrong?”
     
    Reinhard stares up at him. Subaru looks alive. He looks fine. He’s not bloody or writhing or wane or dead. He’s just standing there, looking at Reinhard awkwardly and scratching his arm. He looks concerned, even. He doesn’t look like he’s looking at a monster.

    Reinhard looks up. It’s a bit before noon.

    Is it not the greatest insolence to go against fate itself?

    Reinhard has another chance. He has another chance to save Subaru.
