Summary
Proud Immortal Dragon Way was a book that started as a xianxia with a western-styled dragon rider twist and ended as a trashy harem novel, where the only thing being ridden was the protagonist’s heavenly *beep*. Every. Damn. Chapter. It was such a waste!
When Shen Yuan died cursing the plot, the inexperienced system assigned to his case failed to connect him to his intended role of the scum villain. Instead, he was shunted into -- what was this tight cramped darkness?? What do you mean mission: ‘Hatch Safely’!?
After breaking the shell, who wouldn’t recognize an iconic hatching scene from the book, where disciples would impress hatchlings. The kind Binghe, in the middle of his whump arc, was never allowed to partake in.
Well too bad, it was Binghe or bust! Where was the Qing Jing woodshed? Shen Yuan would drag his pathetic little newborn body as far as he needed to!

Wars never end neatly, and they rarely end quickly. It's kind of unfair that, after saving the universe, Lance still has to deal with evil plots, bad guys, assassination attempts, daring rescues, death, and bad dreams. Not to mention love. He thought he was done with all that.
Or: After the war, Lance goes home. His problems follow. Namely, Keith. Lance has no choice but to follow him right back, even when he disappears without a trace. Funny how that goes.

Surly and uncooperative as he may be, Keith is, unfortunately, a whiz at everything he does, especially when it comes to acing the weekly Astronomy quizzes. If only Lance could get hold of Keith’s little black notebook, then maybe he could finally pull ahead. Or at least, knock Keith down a couple of pegs.

Taking pictures of sports was so… boring. Arts and Culture, the section of the paper Keith actually worked for, was fun and lively with something different every week. It was interesting. Sports were… predictable. You either won the game or you didn’t. Nothing to look forward to.

Lance staggers, eyes widening as they spread across the rich hues of purple, which blossom like flowers on a vine. White dots splatter against the colorful void, shining brightly, but they're too far away for Lance to feel their warmth. He finds two other dots against the darkscape, larger than the rest yet still hardly noticeable, each separately colored red and blue. Weird. As they catch his attention, for a split second the stars shine brighter before they fade.
His brows knit together. This place is more familiar than the last.
A frown takes his lips, and it's as well-known as the scenery that had shifted around him moments before. Lance was never in Cuba, was he? He was always here, always lost in this void. Always separated from his family with a fine line that’s light-years long.
He chokes on a heavy sigh and remembers that he doesn’t need to breathe. Not here. Not anymore.
