Summary
So he’s there in the hotel room, and Ilya Rozanov has him pushed up against the door, and he’s saying all sorts of filthy things that should send Shane running and instead very much make him want to drop to his knees, which is also a relatively new feeling—and he won’t quit grabbing Shane’s face.
It's the first time Shane realizes it’s going to be something that irreparably alters him for anyone else. It feels like a betrayal, somehow, that this is happening on home soil.

Summary
That’s what’s so dangerous about Shane. Not the kind eyes, not the temptation, not the little voice in the back of Ilya’s head that he feeds that keeps telling him to fuck it all and choose happiness over duty, over stability, over birthrights and stipulations. The danger is that Ilya has spent a lifetime perfecting the art of keeping things to himself, and Shane—with his empathy and his endless need to know—opens his mouth once and Ilya’s body spits out the truth before he can vet it first. Before he can make sure it’s safe. Not too much, not too vulnerable, not self-pitying, not a lie, but not necessarily the truth either. There is no just right when it comes to Shane. There is only impulse and hunger and, against every single fucking odd, a trust so deep that it’s in Ilya's blood now, helpless to pinpoint when it had first punctured and spread like a poison.
No. That isn’t right.
Like, maybe, the only antidote that Ilya has ever been offered without strings attached.

Summary
